With their combination of classic violin and electronics, I’m Not A Band attracts one’s focus to the dance-floor, without leaving out the relaxing moments before or after a copious night of partying. After the debut album “Electrolin”, the EP “What We Do”, which followed last summer, and an extensive release-tour, the Berlin duo left a lasting impression tracing right across the country. Now the new album is complete: “BANDBAND”.
Based out of a small room of a shared flat in Berlin, Stephan Jung and Kassandra Papak created 11 songs, which connect the big city hectic with the ease and quiet of nature. Coined with live violin recordings, their electronic based arrangements which sometimes sound like French house, disco or rave, and at times even allow a few hip-hop elements to surface, the central thread never goes out of sight. And that is I’m Not A Band. Now the new album is finished and ready to be played. I’m Not A Band want to get out, play live, give their music and feelings to others, go beyond the borders they have already reached, and get to know the world. Of course, also let the world get to know them. With “BAND BAND” and the multiply celebrated live performances, already taking them to places like Milan, Warsaw, and London, the success is hands on.

Mit ihrer Verknüpfung von klassischem Geigenspiel und moderner Elektronik rücken I´m Not A Band den Dancefloor in den Fokus, ohne dabei die entspannten Momente vor oder nach einer ausgiebigen Partynacht außer Acht zu lassen. Samt Debütplatte „Electrolin“ , der im letzten Sommer nachgelegte EP „What We Do“ und einer ausgiebigen Releasetour legte das Duo aus Berlin im vergangenen Jahr eine eindrucksvolle Spur quer durch die Lande. Nun ist das neue Album fertig: „BAND BAND“.
Ausgehend von einem kleinen WG-Zimmer in Berlin haben Stephan Jung und Kassandra Papak 11 Songs geschaffen, die die moderne Großstadthektik mit der entspannten Ruhe der Natur verbinden. Live gespielte und aufgenommene Geigen prägen ihre elektronisch basierten Arrangements, die auch mal nach French House, Disco oder Rave klingen dürfen, ja sogar HipHop-Elemente zulassen, dabei aber nie den roten Faden aus den Augen verlieren. Und der ist I´m Not A Band. Jetzt ist die neue Platte fertig und möchte bespielt werden. I´m Not A Band möchten raus, live auftreten, Musik und Gefühle vermitteln, über die bisherigen Grenzen hinaus die Welt kennen lernen. Und von der Welt kennen gelernt werden. Mit „BAND BAND“ und einer vielfach gefeierten Livedarbietung, die sie bereits bis nach Mailand, Warschau oder London geführt hat, wird ihnen das spielerisch gelingen. .
